FUSE Snowskates is running the snowskate park at WX in Aspen, Jan. 22-25. Plans have been long underway for squeezing the most features and the best use of the relatively small and flat zone. But, from what's on paper it's looking really tight: 2 tiered drop-in off scaffold deck, pyramid, pyramid box, flat bank to step up box, long down box, picnic table, manual pad, round bar, and few pump bumps thrown around. I'll post up the layout if someone wants to tell me how to do that. Also, is a contest, Snowskate Showdown. Qualifier on Fri, 3:00-4:00 and 2 round final on Sat. 11:00-12:00 and 4:30-5:30. There's other events also. Guiness Book of World Records will be there to do some fun stuff and some serious world record breaking. All are welcomed to check it out no matter what skate you're riding. Official poster being created as we speak and will be posted up when ready.

Glad to see that Fuse is taking over this event. When the Premier guys said they werent doing it anymore after last year, I thought it would be dead.
Will riders need to pre-register or get credentials? Seemed like we couldn't take 2 steps in any direction with a snowskate without some neandrathal in a security suit asking for our "credentials".

Definitely need to know if we can pre register so there is no confusion about credentials. We have had to chase these down for the last 2 years. It's not much fun and not so pro. This is an event I can't miss!

I haven't heard anything about needing credentials. As far I know, you just sign a waver and you're in. On the contest, I would definitely say pre-register. That's not officially set up yet. But, if anyone who is planning on showing up, especially from far away wants to send their name and info to me at, contact@fusesnow.com that's a good start. Any ideas about format if the contest includes 3 different kinds of snowskates? Maybe the set up just works for everybody, but the style of riding will just be so different. I'm pretty much limited to those time frames I posted, so different divisions for different snowskates would turn into like 3 min. heats or something.

Looks rad! Don't forget to tape it so that us poor ones in Sweden and elsewhere can enjoy some of it. And good luck guys!

definitely will be no shortage of cameras. You know, I wanted to get a stair set in there. It's such a tight zone. But, right now I'm pushing for getting the stairs off the scaffold in play. I don't think anyone is really going to use them anyway- probably just walk up the front to the deck. Ambition is sending riders down for sure and is trying to come on as a supporting sponsor.
